Cleansing: foam or micellar water

Cleansing foams come in 150 ml containers. Palacio Cleansing Foam for Face with Hemp is based on hemp oil, while cannabellum CBD Cleansing Foam for Face is based on CBD. Both are intended for washing and makeup removal in the morning and evening.

The cannabellum CBD micellar water comes in a 200 ml bottle and has a different method of use. It is applied to a cotton pad and wiped across the face without rinsing, making it suitable for quick makeup removal and on-the-go. The foam requires water, while the micellar water only needs a cotton pad.

Scrub and masks: once or twice a week

The hemp scrub 500 mg CBD 250 g is a sugar scrub. Its ingredients include sugar with CBD, sodium bicarbonate, hemp seed oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil, and powdered hemp seed cake. It is applied to clean, damp skin, massaged in circular motions, and rinsed off with water, once or twice a week.

This scrub is mainly designed for the body, in the shower, so apply it gently on the face and avoid the eye area. At the end of the ingredient list, there are orange peel oil and citral, linalool, and limonene, which are fragrance components.

The masks come in 150 ml tubes: Palacio Face Mask with Hemp Oil and cannabellum CBD Face Mask with CBD. Both are used once or twice a week as an additional step in care, not as a replacement for cream.

Daily creams and gel

The face creams come in 50 ml and differ in their base. Palacio Lavender Face Cream has a creamy but not heavy water-based consistency, with glycerin, panthenol, elastin, collagen, and vitamin E. The manufacturer targets it for dry and combination skin, for the face, neck, and décolletage, morning and evening.

Palacio Face Cream with Sweet Almond Oil is thicker. Paraffin, petroleum jelly, and hardened coconut oil leave a layer on the skin that limits water loss, and the cream is aimed at dry and sensitive skin. For oily skin, such a base can be too heavy.

The Palacio cream with snail extract combines snail mucin with hyaluronic acid, for day and night, from 15 years old. The manufacturer classifies it as a Korean cosmetic. The lightest form is Palacio Face Gel with Hyaluronic Acid in a 50 ml bottle, which absorbs quickly.

SPF 50 Cream

Palacio CannaProtect Face Cream SPF50 with Hemp combines a sunscreen filter with hemp oil. It comes in a 50 ml pump bottle, has a paraben-free formula, and is labeled by the manufacturer as waterproof. For other creams in this category, the manufacturer does not mention filters.

The sunscreen cream is applied to the cleansed face before going out, also on the ears and neck. With prolonged sun exposure, the application needs to be repeated, and the pump should be closed after each use.

Face cosmetics: what to check on the label

The INCI list provides ingredients in order of highest concentration. In the Palacio almond cream, the first positions are water, liquid paraffin, and only then sweet almond oil. The name on the packaging indicates the character of the product, while the composition indicates the proportions.

Check the fragrance. Parfum or Parfume indicates a fragrance composition, while names like linalool, limonene, coumarin, or geraniol are fragrance components listed separately, as they can cause allergies. In the lavender cream, the scent is built from lavender oil along with the fragrance composition, so for reactive skin, start with a patch test on a small area.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do all face cosmetics in this category contain hemp?

No. The Palacio lavender and sweet almond oil creams do not have hemp ingredients in the INCI list.
