Palacio is a Czech brand of functional cosmetics, where hemp seed oil combines with herbal oils and extracts. The manufacturer develops the formulas in-house and has been producing cosmetics since 2011. The brand specializes in massage gels, but Palacio cosmetics also include everything from face creams to bath salts.

Palacio cosmetics: who is behind them

The brand is backed by a Czech company that, before it started production, sold massage cosmetics from other suppliers for years. According to the manufacturer, it was one of the first producers of hemp cosmetics in the Czech Republic and started with massage gels containing hemp oil and extract. Today, it has over 250 products in its portfolio, more than 100 of which contain hemp or cannabidiol.

The manufacturer claims to produce in accordance with GMP, has registered cosmetics in the European CPNP portal, and has a CPSR safety assessment. The formulas also undergo dermatological tests, although cosmetics regulations do not require them. Alongside Palacio, the same company runs the Cannabellum line with cannabidiol and EcoCannabis, which are cleaning products with hemp oil.

Massage gels and oil

The manufacturer started with massage gels, and these, along with ointments and bath salts, are its specialty. Four gels listed below combine hemp seed oil, herbal extracts, and menthol, which provides a distinct cooling sensation immediately after application.

• CANNACOOL in a 200 ml tube: hemp seed oil, extract from 19 herbs, menthol, and peppermint and pine oils; 94.2% of ingredients are of natural origin
• CBD Chill 200 ml: menthol, peppermint oil, and camphor based on hemp oil with cannabidiol and seven herbal extracts
• CéBéDé Fortis 200 ml: hemp seed oil, cannabidiol, menthol, camphor, and fermented soy
• chestnut gel 600 ml: extract from chestnut seeds, menthol, camphor, and eucalyptus, pine, fir, lavender, and rosemary oils
• Cannasex oil 150 ml with pump: hemp oil, olive oil, and grape seed oil, vegan formula

The 200 ml tube fits in a gym bag, while the 600 ml bottle is suitable for regular back and thigh massages. Gels with menthol and alcohol dry quickly, so you can put on your clothes right after the massage. You can find all of them in the Massage category.

Face creams and serum

Palacio creams come in a 50 ml package, and each is built around the ingredient from which it takes its name. You apply them to cleansed skin, and for three of them, the manufacturer recommends using them morning and evening.

• with aloe: lighter consistency, panthenol, elastin, collagen, and vitamin E, also suitable under makeup
• lavender: narrow-leaved lavender oil and a distinct lavender scent, for dry and combination skin
• with almond oil: thicker, occlusive formula for dry and sensitive skin
• with argan oil: argan oil with shea butter, vegetarian formula

The vitamin serum with hemp comes in a 50 ml bottle with a pump. In the INCI list, hemp oil is listed right after water, and in the formula description, the manufacturer also mentions vitamins C, A, E, D, and B and claims 98% of ingredients are of natural origin. It is lightweight, so you apply it under cream or makeup.

The rest of the catalog

Besides massage and facial care, Palacio makes bath, hair, and daily hygiene cosmetics. These include bath salts, herbal ointments, liquid and bar soaps, shampoos, body and hair balms, and Hemp & Dent toothpaste. What to pay attention to

All these cosmetics are for external use only. Gels with menthol, camphor, and denatured alcohol are not intended for damaged skin, and after application, avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. CéBéDé Fortis is not intended for children under 3 years of age.

What are the differences between Palacio massage gels?

Each provides cooling due to menthol, but they differ in the rest of the composition and format. CANNACOOL has hemp seed oil and an extract from 19 herbs, CBD Chill and CéBéDé Fortis contain cannabidiol and camphor, while the chestnut gel is the largest bottle, 600 ml, with conifer oils.

Do Palacio cosmetics contain CBD?

Some of them do. In the CBD Chill and CéBéDé Fortis gels, cannabidiol is listed in the INCI. Most of the other cosmetics are based on hemp seed oil, and there is a separate line with cannabidiol called Cannabellum from the same manufacturer. Are Palacio cosmetics vegan?

Not all of them. The Cannasex massage oil has a vegan formula, and the cream with argan oil has a vegetarian formula. The creams with aloe and lavender contain collagen and elastin, and the brand also offers products with goat milk, so if you follow a plant-based diet, read the INCI list.
