ZIELANA herbal complex is a liquid in a 50 ml bottle with a dropper, available in two versions: for adults and Junior for children from the age of four. This is not the same preparation in two strengths. The versions differ in the carrier, list of plants, and dosing scheme.
Two versions: for adults and Junior
The adult version is based on plant extracts in ethanol. Junior does not contain ethyl alcohol, and the solvent and preservative used is propylene glycol. Both have a capacity of 50 ml and both are dissolved in water before drinking.
The dose for a child is not calculated from the adult version by dividing the dose. Each version is used according to its own scheme on the label.
Six extracts in the adult version
The formula combines extracts from walnut leaves, wormwood herb, clove buds, yarrow herb, elecampane root, and calamus rhizome. The composition is supplemented with electrolytes and trace elements, and the carrier is ethanol. The dose is 15 drops dissolved in 100 ml of water, twice a day.
The preparation contains ethanol, and the manufacturer does not recommend it during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Other multi-ingredient herbal preparations are collected in the Complexes category.
Eight extracts in the Junior version
For Junior, the manufacturer provides the weight of each extract in the daily dose, which is in 30 drops. This way, it is clear what weighs the most in the composition and what is an addition.
- pumpkin seeds: 260 mg
- fennel fruit: 160 mg
- thyme leaf: 65 mg
- walnut: 54 mg
- elecampane root and calamus rhizome: 40 mg each
- ginger root: 35 mg
- clove bud: 14 mg
Preparations for the youngest are collected in the Supplements for children category.
ZIELANA herbal complex: how to use the drops
You measure the dose with the included dropper and dissolve it in 100 ml of water, so the drops are not taken directly from the dropper. Hold the dropper vertically, as its position changes the size of the drops. In both versions, the first dose is taken in the morning on an empty stomach, and the second in the afternoon.
Junior is given in two doses of 15 drops, the second around 5 PM. The manufacturer describes its use in cycles: two weeks of administration, then two weeks of break. How to read the composition and doses on the packaging is described in the guide how to read the dietary supplement label.
