Royal Box tobacco dispenser has the format of a payment card: it is a flat box with a sliding drawer divided into compartments and a tube included. The brand is run by the Slovenian company FEREPORT, and the project under this name was created in 2009. Subsequent editions differ in material, finish, and layout of compartments, so the same idea appears in plastic, aluminum, with walnut wood or leather.

Royal Box tobacco dispenser: how it works

The box measures 86 × 54 × 8 mm, so it fits in the wallet compartment next to cards. Inside is a sliding drawer: you lay out tobacco portions in the compartments beforehand, slide the drawer in, and nothing spills out. When the time comes, you pull it out and reach for the tube from the set, without contact with the countertop or any other surface.

In most editions, the drawer has 8 elongated compartments. Black Hole and Blue Honeycomb have instead 45 small round holes for smaller portions. The thinnest S-Line series is less than 5 mm thick, and its Bi-Turbo variant has a double division with 26 elongated lines.

Plastic or aluminum

Editions made of plastic, such as Camera, Camouflage, Make Up, Record Player, or Superstar, are made of glossy plastic with printing and weigh 35 g. The set includes one aluminum tube. This is the lightest and simplest version, but the manufacturer does not provide a warranty for it.

Metal editions have a body made of brushed, anodized aluminum and weigh 90 g. The set includes two aluminum tubes, a leather case, and a card with a mirror. For the Classic, Python, Shark, and Lizard editions, the manufacturer provides a one-year warranty for material and workmanship defects.

Collections and finishes

Each Royal Box series has its own finish for the lid and body. The most important lines look like this:

  • Classic: matte aluminum in olive, black, titanium, and gold colors
  • B52: newer, thinner casing, more pleasant to the touch, in Dark Titan, Orange, and Blue colors
  • Wood: aluminum with a lid made of natural American walnut wood in American Walnut Black and Titanium versions; Walnut Olive has a walnut-colored finish
  • Python, Shark, Lizard, and Gentelmen Crock: lid made of python, shark, lizard, or crocodile leather; Gentelmen Crock is a series of 50 handcrafted pieces with a certificate
  • Stone: aluminum with a stone-like finish, in patterns named after stars, such as Polaris, Sargas, or Vega
  • Golf: aluminum in vibrant colors; this series includes Black Hole and Blue Honeycomb with an antibacterial coating
  • Anniversary Gold: anniversary edition with a lid covered in 23.75 karat gold

How to choose a Royal Box

Start with how you portion your tobacco. Elongated compartments fit classic portions, while the 45 holes in Black Hole and Blue Honeycomb are for smaller ones. If flatness matters, choose S-Line, which is less than 5 mm thick and comes with five foldable paper tubes and a card with a mirror.

Then consider the material. Plastic is lighter and works well as a first or backup dispenser. Aluminum is heavier, has reusable tubes, and some editions come with a one-year warranty. Separately in the catalog are accessories: the aluminum tube Royal Box Tube and the spare mirror card Mirror Card measuring 8.6 × 5.4 cm.

Names can be misleading: Snuff Box is the same box with a drawer, Tube is a tube sold separately, and Mirror Card is a card with a mirror. We have gathered tobacco accessories in the category Tobacco, and what tobacco is and how to use it is described in the text tobacco: what it is and how to use it.

Care

You clean the Royal Box with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid prolonged contact with water, chemicals, and sharp sunlight, especially with lids made of leather and wood. The Royal Box Tube made of smooth aluminum can be disinfected.
