Venty and Veazy: how to use step by step

Venty and Veazy step by step: filling the chamber, temperature and Booster, airflow, charging, and cleaning the cooler according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Venty heats up in about 20 seconds, while Veazy reaches 180 °C in about 40 seconds (Storz & Bickel product pages). Both have the same chamber with a capacity of 1.4 cm³ and the same three factory temperature levels. This is where the similarities end. Venty has a display, plus and minus buttons, and an airflow dial. Veazy has one button, two LEDs, and a constant airflow. The steps and settings in this guide come from the user manuals of both models and from the manufacturer’s websites. Two notes about Veazy come from reviews and are marked as opinions. You will learn how to prepare the device and fill the chamber, how to set the temperature, how to charge the battery, how to clean the cooler, and what to do when the vapor weakens.

KEY INFORMATION
• Venty heats up in about 20 s, Veazy in about 40 s to 180 °C (Storz & Bickel).
• Fill the 1.4 cm³ chamber with ground herb to the edge, without packing.
• Venty can be set to every 1 °C, Veazy has three levels.
• Clean the cooler no later than 7 days after the last use.
• Veazy does not work while charging.

How to use Venty and Veazy step by step?

The Storz & Bickel instructions describe the same cycle for both models in 7 steps. First, charge the battery fully. Then fill the chamber, attach the cooler, and turn on the device. After a double vibration, you start inhaling. The differences between the models in each step are summarized in a table.

Step Venty Veazy What to watch out for
1. First charging fully, with USB-C cable fully, with USB-C cable do not use a damaged device or cable
2. Filling ground herb to the edge of the chamber or capsule the same; 1 capsule included do not pack, scrape off excess from the edge
3. Cooler attach and turn 90° to the right the same remove by turning 90° to the left
4. Turning on Power for min. 0.5 s Power for min. 0.5 s heats to 180 °C by default
5. Heating setting shows orange, about 20 s orange LED, about 40 s ready: double vibration and green color
6. Inhalation evenly, for a few seconds, at half strength the same do not exhale into the device
7. End of session turn off; blue display while cooling turn off and wait when idle, it turns off after 2 min (Venty) or 3 min (Veazy)

The heating time for Venty is provided on the product page. The instructions add that in practice it depends on the battery condition and ambient temperature, as well as the amount and type of herb. The time for Veazy, about 40 seconds to 180 °C, is provided by both the product page and the instructions. Both models heat to the factory base temperature of 180 °C when turned on, so you can start the first session without changing settings.

What to do before the first use of Venty and Veazy?

Before the first use, charge the battery fully: this is a recommendation from the instructions for both models (Storz & Bickel). The Veazy instructions also require checking the device and cable for visible damage. Then attach the cooler with the mouthpiece and turn it 90° to the right. Remove it by turning 90° to the left.

The sets differ in small details. Veazy includes one dosing capsule and 6 small screens in the box. Venty has 5 small screens and 2 screens for the cooler, but no capsules. Sealing rings are included in both, two each. Both also come with a shortened manual, a Filling Chamber Tool, and a USB-C to USB-C cable, as well as a brush for cleaning.

You cannot replace the battery yourself. Venty has two non-removable 18650 cells (TechCrunch, 2023). The Veazy instructions add that self-replacement voids the warranty, and in case of problems, you should contact service. The warranty for Venty lasts 2 years and extends by one year after registration, but the additional year does not cover the battery; Veazy has 2 years without extension (Storz & Bickel, warranty conditions).

Where to place the device during the session? The Venty instructions require a stable heat-resistant surface, away from curtains and paper, with exposed ventilation openings. The manufacturer also provides the ambient temperature range in which the devices should operate: 5-35 °C. Keep small parts and the cable away from children and pets.

How to fill the chamber of Venty and Veazy and what do dosing capsules change?

The chamber of both models has a volume of 1.4 cm³ and a ceramic coating (Storz & Bickel product pages). The instructions state to fill it with ground herb to the very edge and scrape off the excess from the edge of the chamber. Overly packed or overflowing herb makes inhalation difficult. The manufacturer does not provide capacities in grams.

How finely to grind? The Veazy instructions explain that the finer the ground herb, the larger its surface area and the more aroma it releases in one cycle. You can vaporize the same herb again as long as vapor is produced at the highest temperature. Increasing the temperature is described in the instructions as a last resort, as higher temperatures make the taste less pleasant.

You fill dosing capsules with ground herb outside the device and place them in the chamber with the lid facing up (instructions for both models). You prepare the portion in advance, and the ready container goes into the chamber. Veazy includes one capsule in the set, while for Venty, you buy them separately. The manufacturer sells them in packs of 40 for 15.60 euros (Storz & Bickel, October 2026). You can find Storz & Bickel capsules in the accessories and parts for vaporizers category.

What does the capsule change in actual use? The Venty instructions warn that capsules may restrict airflow. The instructions do not directly link this to the dial; Veazy has a constant flow.

How to set the temperature in Venty?

You set the base temperature of Venty using the plus and minus buttons in the range of 40-210 °C, every 1 °C (Venty instructions). Holding the button scrolls the numbers quickly. The factory base temperature is set to 180 °C. During heating, the setting lights up orange, and once it is reached, the display changes color to green, and the device vibrates twice.

In addition, there are two quick thresholds. A double press of Power activates Booster, which is the base temperature plus 15 °C, factory set to 195 °C. Another double press activates Superbooster: base plus 30 °C, factory set to 210 °C. During the heating of Booster, the °C/°F symbol blinks, and during Superbooster, it blinks quickly. Both modes return to the base temperature after 90 seconds. A double press in Superbooster mode also returns to the base temperature. You can only change the size of both increments in the Web App.

Button combinations also control other settings (Venty instructions):

  • Switching °C and °F: press and hold plus and minus for 3 seconds.
  • Display brightness: press and hold plus and minus for 5 seconds; levels from 0 to 9.
  • Factory reset: press and hold Power for 10 seconds. The device will vibrate, show a reset animation, and return to default temperatures.

What temperature to choose for a specific herb? The Venty instructions do not provide temperatures for specific herbs. How temperature affects the taste and effect of vapor is described in the guide vaporization temperature: what to set and why.

How do the temperature levels in Veazy work and what is the app for?

Veazy has one button and three temperature levels every 15 °C: from 180 to 210 °C (Veazy instructions). It reaches 180 °C in about 40 seconds. You cannot set the temperature by degree on the device. Any value in the range of 40-210 °C can be selected in the Web App, where you can also change all three levels (Veazy FAQ).

Level How to activate During heating Temperature reached
Base, 180 °C Power for min. 0.5 s steady orange light double vibration, steady green light
Booster, 195 °C double press orange blinks slowly double vibration, green lower LED
Superbooster, 210 °C another double press orange blinks quickly double vibration, green upper LED

Booster and Superbooster return to the base temperature after 90 seconds. The Permanent Boost function in the app removes this limit (Veazy page). You perform a factory reset as in Venty: press and hold Power for 10 seconds, and the device vibrates and shows running lights in green, red, and blue.

Is the app necessary? No, both models work without it. You open the Web App in a browser that supports Web Bluetooth at app.storz-bickel.com and click Connect (instructions for both models). The manufacturer lists browsers: on iOS and macOS only Bluefy, on Windows Chrome or Edge, on Android Chrome. In Venty, the app also activates the ECO charging mode. Software updates are mentioned for Venty on the app page, while the Veazy page mentions them for this model.

How to adjust the airflow in Venty?

Venty has an airflow dial with smooth adjustment in the range of 0-20 L/min (Venty page). This is twice as much as the constant 10 L/min in Mighty+ and Crafty+. The dial sets the draw resistance. The instructions describe three reference points, marked on the dial:

  • One marker: low flow, dial almost closed.
  • Two markers: medium flow, dial open halfway.
  • Three markers: high flow, dial fully open.

Veazy does not have a dial. The flow is constant and is 10 L/min (Veazy page), which is half of Venty’s upper limit. According to reviews (Vaporizer Wizard, GreenState), Veazy pulls tighter than Venty.

When does flow matter? The Venty instructions warn that dosing capsules may restrict it. A heavy draw also results from an overfilled chamber or a clogged screen. The manufacturer advises replacing a clogged screen and washing the residue from the cooler.

The dial can be removed for cleaning: you push it out with the Filling Chamber Tool. When reassembling, place the sealing ring over the dial with the writing TOP facing up (Venty instructions).

How to inhale with Venty and Veazy?

You start inhaling only after the double vibration, when the device has finished heating. The instructions for both models instruct you to extend the mouthpiece, wrap your lips around it, and inhale evenly for a few seconds, only at half strength. Then hold your breath for a moment and exhale slowly (Storz & Bickel).

Strong vapor at high temperatures can irritate the airways. The instructions advise lowering the temperature in such cases, as higher temperatures also worsen the taste. Coughing, shortness of breath, or chest pain are, according to the instructions, reasons to consult a doctor.

Do not exhale air into the mouthpiece. The Venty instructions list blown air into the device among the reasons it may not turn on.

How long does a session last? The manufacturer does not specify its length in minutes. However, it does provide for automatic shutdown: Venty turns off after 2 minutes, and Veazy after 3 minutes without pressing a button and without actions in the app. Before shutting down, the device vibrates, and a short press of Power resets the timer.

After the session, turn off the device and wait for it to cool completely. Venty signals cooling with a blue display light. Do not touch the hot chamber during or after the session.

How to charge Venty and Veazy and do they work while charging?

You can charge Venty to about 80% in 40 minutes if you use a USB-C PD charger with a power of at least 27 W; the manufacturer calls this Supercharge (Venty page and instructions). A regular charger must provide at least 10 W. You charge Veazy with a voltage of 5 V, and the recommended charger is 5 V/3 A, which is 15 W. Veazy does not work while charging (Veazy FAQ). Whether Venty works with the cable is not specified in the manufacturer’s materials.

Charging Venty Veazy
Regular charger min. 5 V/2 A (10 W) 5 V via USB, recommended 5 V/3 A (15 W)
Fast charging USB-C PD min. 9 V/3 A (27 W): about 80% in 40 min no data in the instructions
Battery status 6 fields on the display, during charging they blink sequentially upwards blue LED: fast blinking up to 30%, blinking 31-60%, slow 61-98%, steady light 100%
Charger type blinking speed of fields: fast is Quick Charge, equal is regular charger, slow is low power charger color of the lower LED every 10th blink: green ECO, yellow USB-C to USB-A cable, purple low power charger; both LEDs blink blue with USB-C charger
Full battery all 6 fields, then the display goes off steady blue light
Use with cable no information in the instructions and on the Venty page no

The shortened Venty instructions recommend the original Storz & Bickel USB-C Supercharger. With a weak charger, the display asks for a stronger one. The ECO mode is activated in the app; according to the instructions, it helps extend battery life. After charging, first disconnect the charger from the socket, and then the cable from the device: this order is specified in the instructions for both models.

For those who want to use the device while connected to the cable, the manufacturer indicates in the Veazy FAQ the Mighty+ model.

How to clean the Venty and Veazy cooler?

Check the cooler and mouthpiece before each use, and wash them no later than 7 days after the last session or earlier if there is visible residue (Venty and Veazy instructions). The manufacturer states that cleanliness is a condition for proper operation. To wash the cooler, it must be disassembled. In Venty, you do this in four steps:

  1. Remove the mouthpiece from the cap by moving it back and forth, then remove the sealing ring from it.
  2. Insert the edge of the mouthpiece into the cutout of the rotating cap, turn it left and remove its ring.
  3. Remove the cap and take out the screen.
  4. Push out the airflow dial with the Filling Chamber Tool; the sealing ring will fall out during this.

Veazy is easier to disassemble. You pull out the mouthpiece with a slight turn to the left and slide the intermediate base off the cooler base. There is no airflow dial in Veazy.

The instructions provide two washing methods. The first is soaking in warm water for at least 5 minutes, rinsing under running water for at least a minute, and thorough drying. The second is isopropyl alcohol, for no more than 30 minutes, as longer makes the plastic brittle. Then you also rinse the parts for a minute and dry them. Isopropanol is flammable, so its vapors must evaporate before turning on the device.

After washing, inspect the parts. Cracks, softening, hardening, brittleness, or discoloration mean that the part needs to be discarded. Reassemble in reverse order and check that the seals are in place. Why this diligence? Residues of herb in the cooler can clog it and end up in what you inhale (instructions for both models).

How to clean the chamber and screens in Venty and Veazy?

You clean the chamber with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol, but not too wet: alcohol that gets inside can damage the device (Venty and Veazy instructions). The manufacturer advises replacing clogged screens rather than cleaning them. Spare screens are included in the set: 5 small in Venty and 6 in Veazy.

In Venty, you press the screen with the Filling Chamber Tool along the groove and remove it. In Veazy, you pry it out with sharp tweezers. You slightly bend the new screen, place it with the bend facing up, and press it flat with the tool.

Clean the casing and cable after turning off the device and disconnecting it from power. A dry or damp soft cloth is sufficient. Do not immerse the devices in water. Do not use a stream of water, steam, or compressed air either. The Veazy instructions add that prolonged exposure to sunlight may change the color of the casing.

Parts wear out over time. For Venty, the manufacturer sells a Wear & Tear set: 3 mouthpieces, a cooler, a set of screens, 2 chamber tools, and a brush (Venty instructions).

Cleaning agents and accessories for vaporizers are generally described in the guide cleaning the vaporizer: how and with what. However, with Venty and Veazy, the limits from the instructions take precedence, such as no more than 30 minutes in isopropanol.

What to do if Venty or Veazy does not work or the vapor is weak?

If Venty does not turn on, the instructions list six possible causes, from an empty battery to air blown into the device. Veazy signals the same causes with LEDs. Weak vapor or a heavy draw is, according to the instructions, due to an overfilled chamber, a capsule, a clogged screen, or residue in the cooler. For harsh vapor, the manufacturer advises a lower temperature.

Symptom Possible cause What to do according to the instructions
Does not turn on empty battery charge
device too hot wait for it to cool down
device too cold move to a warm place; do not heat with a stove, microwave, or lighter
unsuitable charger or cable use original accessories from the manufacturer
malfunction turn off, disconnect from power, contact service
air blown into the device the instructions state the cause without a separate tip; do not exhale into the mouthpiece
Weak vapor, heavy draw overfilled or packed chamber fill to the edge without packing
dosing capsule capsules may restrict airflow
clogged screen replace the screen
residue in the cooler wash the cooler
Harsh vapor, worse taste too high temperature lower the temperature

In case of a malfunction, Venty displays an error code, while Veazy shows an LED pattern. Check their meanings in the instructions attached to the device. The Veazy instructions also describe a failed software update: try again, and if that does not help, contact service. Self-repair voids the warranty. The manufacturer prohibits the use of a damaged device or cable.

How do Venty and Veazy differ in everyday use?

Most differences concern control. Venty has a display with plus and minus buttons and an airflow dial of 0-20 L/min. Veazy has one button, two LEDs, and a constant airflow of 10 L/min. The manufacturer itself states in the Veazy FAQ that Venty offers more adjustments and heats up faster.

Feature Venty Veazy
Control display, plus and minus, every 1 °C one button, 3 levels; every degree only in Web App
Signals display color and vibration two LEDs and vibration
Heating about 20 s about 40 s to 180 °C
Airflow dial, 0-20 L/min constant, 10 L/min
Auto shut-off when idle after 2 min after 3 min
Permanent Boost not described in the manufacturer’s materials Permanent Boost in Web App

Warranty 2 years + 1 year after registration 2 years
Price in Poland (October 2026) about 1,380-1,500 PLN about 980-1,000 PLN

Veazy simplifies operation at the cost of adjustments. It transfers temperature by degree and constant Boost to the app, and you cannot change the flow at all. Venty is almost twice as heavy, but you can set everything with buttons. According to reviews (Vaporizer Wizard, GreenState), the battery is the main limitation of Veazy.

Which model to choose is compared in the entry Mighty+, Crafty+, Venty or Veazy: which Storz & Bickel to choose. A broader overview of herb devices is provided in vaporizer ranking 2026. You can see and discuss Storz & Bickel vaporizers in three u Bucha stores in Warsaw.
