How do Polish pharmacy databases describe the aroma of both strains?

With verbal descriptions, not measurements. For Frosted Cherry Cookies, citrus, berry, pine, and herbal notes are repeated, while for Lilac Diesel, citrus, fuel, floral, and lavender notes are mentioned. The only common note is citrus. The same sets stand for each registration entry of the given strain, regardless of the producer.

This last sentence weighs more here than the names of the scents themselves. If the identical set of four
terms stands for an entry from S-LAB, for an entry from Synoptis Pharma, and for an entry from Tilray, it
describes the cultivar in commercial material, not the content of a specific package issued
in the pharmacy. No one measured the scent separately for each batch.

When describing the expected effects, the same database ceases to be consistent. Frosted Cherry
Cookies has a relaxing and balanced effect recorded for one producer’s entry, while for the other two entries, stimulating and relaxing effects are noted, even though the terpene composition is stated to be identical everywhere. Lilac Diesel has a stimulating effect recorded everywhere, which contradicts
the only animal study on terpinolene, in which inhalation produced a calming effect.

The trade name closes this circle. Lilac Diesel promises lavender and fuel, and exactly those two
notes stand in the scent description, so the description confirms the name, and the name describes. Neither of them is
an independent testimony of anything, and the scent does not lead to any indication or expected
course of action.

Where does the same THC content range for both strains come from?

From the assortment, not from the plant. Each of these two strains is registered in Polish trade
under two separate entries with different declared values, and the further stated range of 16.2-24.2% is simply the sum of both. By coincidence, it falls out the same for both.

The lower entry gives a range of 16.2-19.8%, the higher 19.8-24.2%. The ends of both come from the tolerance
that the producer is allowed to apply to the declared value on the package, which is ten percent of that value. Combining two such ranges gives a band that no single registration entry declares and that cannot be derived from a single nominal declaration.

Separating these two things matters when reading a label. A patient who receives
an entry with a lower declaration in the pharmacy does not receive a weaker version of the same plant, but
another medicinal product with its own batch number and its own test result.
Comparing two strains by the range alone is therefore comparing sets of labels, not
raw material.

The assortment changes over time: entries disappear from circulation and return, and permits

How long does it take for the herb to start working and how long does the effect last?

This depends on the method of administration, not on which of the two strains the patient received in the pharmacy. For
neither of them has a separate pharmacokinetic study been published, so the only thing that can be
honestly stated is the typical course for inhaled and oral administration of cannabis herb.

The method of administration determines the course more than the strain itself. After vaporization, the substance passes from the lungs to the blood almost immediately, so the first sensations appear after a few minutes, the intensity increases for another ten to thirty minutes, and the whole effect lasts for two to four hours. After ingestion, the raw material first passes through the intestine and liver, so the first sensations are waited for from half an hour to two, and the episode lasts six, sometimes eight hours. Hence the most common mistake with oral administration: anyone who thinks after thirty minutes that nothing is happening and takes another dose will receive both doses at once. The above ranges describe the method of administration, not this strain; no pharmacokinetic study for a single cultivar has been published.

The difference between these two strains cannot therefore be expressed in minutes or hours.
If someone claimed that one of them works faster than the other, they would be talking about something that no one
has measured: both come from the same three producers and both reach the patient in the same
form, and it is the form and method of administration that govern the course.

What is known and what is not known about the effects of both of these strains?

For neither of them is there a clinical study. However, something is known about the two terpenes that
these strains are described with, and this knowledge is of different quality on both sides: myrcene has three animal studies,
terpinolene one animal and one in vitro.

We must start with what is not in the following summary. There is not a single study
conducted on either of these two strains as a whole. All five entries concern a single compound administered to mice or a cell line, in doses and methods of administration that have little in common with inhalation by a patient.

The boundary of knowledge about myrcene is as follows: In humans, it has not been shown that myrcene alone alleviates insomnia at doses typical for inhalation of herb. The direction of the effect in rodents depends on the method of administration and the sex: after intraperitoneal injection in 2002, a slightly anxiogenic effect was described, and after inhalation in 2024, an anxiolytic effect in female mice. These two results do not cancel each other out, but show that the conclusion depends on conditions that no popular strain database provides.

For terpinolene, the boundary lies elsewhere and is broader: Terpinolene has not been shown to affect pain, anxiety, or sleep in humans or in any animal pain model; available data only include a calming effect after inhalation in mice and an effect on a human leukemia cell line in vitro.

Both sides of the pair are therefore uncertain, but uncertain in different ways. For myrcene, results exist
and contradict each other regarding the direction; for terpinolene, they simply do not exist in three areas
