DynaVap: how to use VapCap M and M7 step by step

How to use DynaVap M7 and VapCap M: steps from the manufacturer's instructions, torch or induction heater, what the click means, how much herb, inhale and cleaning.

DynaVap has no battery or display, yet it gives a clear signal when to stop heating: the metal cap clicks. According to the manufacturer’s instructions, when heating with a torch, the click occurs after about 7 seconds, and the inhale lasts 20-30 seconds (DynaVap, How to use). The M 7, the 2024 model, is made entirely of stainless steel, produced in the USA, and costs 89 USD from the manufacturer (DynaVap, The M 7, October 2026). It sounds simple, but the outcome depends on details: what to heat with, where to aim the flame, and when to stop. This guide will teach you how to go through the entire cycle step by step, what the click means, how much herb to load, how to clean the device, and how The M 7 differs from the older VapCap M.

KEY INFORMATION
• The cap clicks after about 7 s of heating with a torch, and one portion gives 2-4 cycles (DynaVap, How to use).
• The M 7 chamber holds about 0.1 g, and the Adjust-a-Bowl insert reduces it by half.
• Heat the center of the cap and stop at the click: overheating can permanently damage it.
• An induction heater provides consistent results, while a torch offers more control.

How does the manual vaporizer DynaVap work?

DynaVap is a manual vaporizer: it has no battery or electronics, and you provide heat from the outside, either with a torch or an induction heater. The metal cap heats the herb in the chamber, and in The M 7, after about 5-7 seconds of heating, it clicks (DynaVap, The M 7). The click is a signal to stop heating and start inhaling.

The principle is the same as in any vaporizer: the herb should release active substances in vapor, not smoke. How a battery-free vaporizer differs from an electric one and who it is for is described in the manual vaporizer guide. DynaVap applies this principle in a very simple form. The whole device consists of a steel body with a mouthpiece and a tip for the herb, onto which you place the cap. There is no display or temperature control here: the only indicator is the sound of the cap.

The manufacturer calls The M 7 the seventh version of the M model (DynaVap, brand history), and in Polish stores, it usually appears under the name “DynaVap M7” or “VapCap M7”. There is nothing to charge here, but the result depends on you: the distance of the flame, the heating spot, and the timing.

How to use DynaVap step by step?

The official instructions have seven steps: load the tip, put the cap back on, heat it from a distance of about 1 inch (about 2.5 cm), wait for the click after about 7 seconds, inhale for 20-30 seconds, and wait for the second click while cooling down (DynaVap, How to use). The table collects these steps along with notes from the manufacturer’s FAQ.

Step What to do What to watch out for
1 Remove the cap and load the herb into the tip. The M 7 chamber holds about 0.1 g; finely ground herb works better.
2 Put the cap back on. Loose packing allows more air, tight packing gives stronger flavor but makes inhaling harder.
3 Heat the cap with a flame from a distance of about 2.5 cm and rotate the device. Aim for the center of the cap, at the letter “N” of the logo, not at its end.
4 Wait for the click, with a torch about 7 s. Stop heating at the click: a few seconds longer may permanently damage the cap.
5 Inhale slowly for 20-30 s. You can change the draw resistance in M 7 with the Pivot switch.
6 Wait for the cap to click while cooling down. With a torch, this is about 30 s after the first click; do not heat earlier.
7 Repeat the cycle. The manufacturer states 2-4 cycles per portion.

Notes in the third column come from DynaVap’s FAQ and the product page. In the first cycles, you do not yet know the sound of the click or the pace at which the cap heats up from your flame. Can this be shortened? The simplest way is to stick to the numbers in the table: a distance of about 2.5 cm, heating the center of the cap, stopping heating at the click.

Torch lighter or induction heater: what to heat DynaVap with?

According to DynaVap, a torch lighter heats the cap with a titanium tip in about 3-6 seconds, while a regular lighter with a soft flame takes about 15 seconds (DynaVap FAQ). A torch provides more control but requires technique. An induction heater heats more consistently (DynaVap, Buyer’s Guide). The steel tip, like in M 7, heats up slower than the titanium one; times for M 7 are in the table below.

DynaVap sells two induction heaters: YLL 3.0 for 139 USD and Ispire Wand for 99 USD (DynaVap, induction heaters). The popular Orion is not a DynaVap product. Orion v2 is made by DynaTec; according to the product sheet, it heats in about 4-6 seconds, a maximum of 10 seconds per cycle, charges via USB-C, and has a 12-month warranty from DynaTec (Leafly). With a heater from another brand, the warranty is determined by its manufacturer, not DynaVap.

Heat source Time to click Notes Source
Torch, titanium tip about 3-6 s most control, requires technique DynaVap FAQ
M 7 (steel), torch or heater about 5-7 s; in the instructions for torch about 7 s with torch: flame about 2.5 cm DynaVap, The M 7
Lighter with soft flame about 15 s slowest in comparison DynaVap FAQ
Orion v2 (DynaTec) about 4-6 s, max. 10 s per cycle USB-C, DynaTec 12 months warranty Leafly
YLL 3.0 or Ispire Wand (DynaVap) no data in source 139 USD or 99 USD DynaVap

The times refer to the click, not the entire session, and depend on the flame. An example from the table: with a titanium tip, a torch gives a click in about 3-6 s, while a regular lighter takes about 15 s, which is 2-5 times longer. Treat these numbers as approximate.

What does the click mean in DynaVap?

The click is a signal to stop heating. DynaVap describes the click moment as “the optimal extraction temperature,” but does not specify it in degrees (DynaVap, The M 7). The cap clicks once or twice while heating and again while cooling down. In M 7, the first click occurs after about 5-7 seconds of heating.

The most important rule is: stop heating at the click. The manufacturer’s FAQ warns that heating longer than a few seconds after it may permanently damage the cap (DynaVap FAQ). The click while cooling down means you can start the next cycle.

The cap clicked twice during heating? This fits the manufacturer’s description: stop heating as soon as you hear the first click. The opposite situation, when there is no click, is one of the typical mistakes described below.

In DynaVap, you do not set the temperature: you heat to the click and stop at it. In electric devices, this role is played by the setting, and why it is not the same as the temperature of the herb is explained in the post vaporizer setting vs herb temperature. How temperature affects the flavor and effect of vapor is described in the guide vaporization temperature: what to set and why.

How much herb to load into DynaVap M 7?

The chamber of The M 7 holds about 0.1 g of herb, and the Adjust-a-Bowl insert reduces it by half, to about 0.05 g, for microdoses (DynaVap, The M 7). You load the herb directly into the tip after removing the cap, and then put the cap back on (DynaVap, How to use).

DynaVap’s FAQ advises finer grinding: finely ground herb works better in this device (DynaVap FAQ). How to choose a grinder and the degree of grinding is described in the guide grinder for herb: which to choose, and ready grinders can be found in the grinders category.

The way of packing changes the character of the inhale. Loosely packed herb allows for greater airflow, tightly packed gives stronger flavor but also makes the draw harder (DynaVap FAQ). So can you load more than 0.1 g? The chamber has a fixed capacity, so a larger portion means in practice tighter packing, with the same effects on the draw. The Adjust-a-Bowl is used for smaller portions.

The M Plus had a tip that was 15% larger in volume than the previous M, but the manufacturer does not specify its capacity in grams (DynaVap, The M Plus).

How to inhale and when to heat DynaVap again?

You start inhaling after the click and, according to DynaVap’s instructions, do it slowly for 20-30 seconds (DynaVap, How to use). M 7 has a Pivot airflow switch that changes the draw resistance, and a tip without fins, which according to the manufacturer transfers up to 20% less heat to the body (DynaVap, The M 7).

If the draw feels too heavy, before changing the packing, check the setting of the Pivot switch. The XL version has a longer mouthpiece with several airflow settings; its catalog price from the manufacturer is 109 USD compared to 89 USD for the standard M 7 (DynaVap, The M 7, October 2026).

After inhaling, wait for the cap to click while cooling down, and only then heat again: the manufacturer recommends waiting for this click before each subsequent cycle (DynaVap FAQ). The entire session from one chamber consists of several repetitions of the same rhythm: heating, click, inhale, cooling down.

What to do with the herb after the last cycle? The vaporized material, called ABV, has several uses described in the post how to use ABV herb.

What mistakes do beginners make with DynaVap?

DynaVap’s FAQ lists four typical mistakes: heating the end of the cap instead of the center or without rotating, overheating after the click, burning the herb, and poor packing of the chamber (DynaVap FAQ). For each, the manufacturer provides a correction. Three out of four relate to heating technique, not the herb itself. Which of them can harm the device itself? The manufacturer warns against overheating after the click, as it may permanently damage the cap.

  • Heating the end of the cap or without rotating. Direct the flame to the center of the cap, at the letter “N” of the logo, and rotate the device. Keep the flame about 2.5 cm from the cap.
  • Overheating after the click. Stop heating immediately. If the cap does not click within the time specified for your model (generally about 4-6 s according to FAQ, for M 7 about 5-7 s), stop and let it cool down.
  • Burning the herb. First, prepare the tip (so-called priming): heat it to click, cool it down, and only then inhale.
  • Poor packing. Looser means more air, tighter means stronger flavor with a harder draw; finer grinding works better, and you can also adjust the draw with the Pivot switch in M 7.

How to clean DynaVap?

DynaVap provides three ways to clean metal parts: warm water with dish soap, a short bath in isopropyl alcohol with rinsing, or a dishwasher (DynaVap FAQ). Never soak the cap, just wipe it with a cotton swab. However, if it gets wet, wait 24 hours before the next heating.

Before bathing in isopropanol, remove the O-ring seals, as alcohol dries them out, or protect them with DynaWax. It is also worth taking care of the seals because DynaVap’s warranty does not cover them (DynaVap, return and warranty policy). The dishwasher is only applicable for metal parts. After each wash, dry everything thoroughly before reassembling the device.

For the American The M 7 set, the manufacturer includes a cleaning tool (DynaVap, The M 7); the contents of sets sold in Poland may vary.

General cleaning principles for vaporizers, with agents and accessories, are described in the guide cleaning the vaporizer: how and with what. In DynaVap, it is simpler because there is no electronics to protect from moisture. The only part that the manufacturer prohibits soaking is the cap.

How does VapCap M differ from The M 7?

The M 7 is the 2024 model: DynaVap announced it on March 26, 2024, as the next version of the flagship M series (Ganjapreneur, 2024). The previous model, The M Plus (according to sellers from 2023) is sold out on the manufacturer’s website, priced at 59 USD, and its successor is M 7 (DynaVap, The M Plus). The model “VapCap M 2024” does not exist.

Feature The M Plus The M 7 (2024)
Manufacturer status sold out available
Manufacturer price (October 2026) 59 USD 89 USD, XL version: catalog price 109 USD
Chamber 15% larger in volume than the previous M, weight not specified about 0.1 g
Adjust-a-Bowl yes yes, reduces the chamber by half
Airflow no data from the manufacturer Pivot switch
Tip no data from the manufacturer without fins, up to 20% less heat to the body
Material stainless steel, made in the USA stainless steel, made in the USA
Price in Poland no data about 360-440 PLN in Polish stores (October 2026)

The data in the table comes from the pages of The M 7 and The M Plus on dynavap.com. The differences concern the construction: chamber, airflow, and tip. The heating times provided in this guide refer to M 7 and the tips described in the FAQ.

DynaVap offers a lifetime warranty on functional defects of M series devices. It does not cover CCD screens, O-ring seals, accessories, or cosmetic defects after 90 days. When purchasing from a retailer, you first contact them, and the 90-day manufacturer’s warranty applies only to purchases on dynavap.com (DynaVap, return and warranty policy).

M 7 costs about 360-440 PLN in Polish stores (October 2026). You can find it in the manual vaporizers category, and you can see and discuss The M 7 with staff in three u Bucha stores in Warsaw.

Is DynaVap M 7 suitable for beginners?

Yes, if you accept learning the heating technique. DynaVap itself states that the torch requires practice, while the induction heater provides consistent results and is better suited for beginners (DynaVap, Buyer’s Guide). The heaters offered by the manufacturer cost 99-139 USD, which is more than the M 7 itself at 89 USD (DynaVap, induction heaters).

So at the start, you choose between two paths. The torch gives more control, and the American M 7 set includes an empty DynaTorch to fill with gas, but the first cycles require attention. The induction heater removes some variables from you, but it raises the total cost of the set. If the herb burns during the first portions, start with the priming described in the section on mistakes.

The second issue is the portions. The chamber of about 0.1 g means small doses repeated in cycles, not one long session. If you prefer to set the temperature digitally and not think about the flame, compare device types in the guide how to choose a vaporizer. DynaVap suits those who want an analog, battery-free, and very portable device for herb and are ready to master the heating technique.
