Beach Crasher (S-LAB, Synoptis Pharma, Tilray): caryophyllene and the lineage from Wedding Crasher

Beach Crasher is available in Polish pharmacies from three producers. The lineage is documented by the breeder's card, but two Polish databases describe the terpene composition of the same strain differently.

Strain Card Beach Crasher
Producers S-LAB, Synoptis Pharma, Tilray (4 pharmacy positions)
Medical Brand the same as the producer
Alternative Names none
Category according to sources hybrid / hybrid-indica (sources inconsistent)
Leading Terpene caryophyllene
Other Terpenes bisabolol humulene limonene linalool myrcene nerolidol pinene
Lineage established Wedding Crasher × Tk Bx1
Source Consistency divergent (2 sources)
  • Who supplies. 3 producers (S-LAB, Synoptis Pharma, Tilray) in 4 positions, which may differ in declaration and source of raw material.
  • Profile. It leads with caryophyllene, alongside bisabolol, humulene, limonene, linalool, myrcene, nerolidol, pinene. We do not provide percentage shares, as sources count them against different wholes.
  • Origin. The lineage is established, with parents being Wedding Crasher and Tk Bx1.
  • What is missing. Two sources describe the profile differently, so the further part of the set is disputed, not established.

What is Beach Crasher and where does this strain come from?

Beach Crasher is a hybrid created by crossing Wedding Crasher with the TK BX1 line. The parents are documented: they are provided by the information card of the breeder Jungle Boys and the genealogical record in the SeedFinder database. In Polish pharmacies, the strain is available as dried flower from three producers. The declared THC content ranges from 16.2-24.2%.

The lineage is based here on two independent places: a sheet issued by the breeder and public genealogy. This is a rarer state than one might think, as in this cluster, twenty-five strains out of eighty-five have no established origin. One must immediately cut off the association suggested by the name. The Wedding component is also present in Wedding Pie and Wedding Pop Triangle, but there, the parent is recorded as Wedding Cake, not Wedding Crasher. The common word in the name is not evidence of kinship in either direction.

Genetic classification is not consistent, however. The budcare.pl database describes all four recorded positions as a hybrid with indica dominance, while medweed.pl simply refers to the Synoptis Pharma position as a hybrid. This discrepancy is not an editorial detail: the indica label can be read as a promise of effect, and the two Polish databases do not say the same about one plant. The record of both remains in the text, instead of choosing the more convenient one.

Which producers supply Beach Crasher to Polish pharmacies?

Three producers: S-LAB, Synoptis Pharma, and Tilray. In the pharmacy inventory of this project, the strain has four positions because S-LAB has two, differing in declared potency. The versions also differ in how many sources describe them at all and what availability was recorded at the time of data collection.

Producer Positions in inventory What distinguishes the version
S-LAB two The only producer with two potency positions; both are described by budcare.pl, none are described by medweed.pl
Synoptis Pharma one The only position described by both sources; budcare.pl lists myrcene and nerolidol for it
Tilray one Described only by budcare.pl, with high availability recorded at the time of data collection

The division by producers tells less about this strain than the difference in description. The version under the label Synoptis Pharma is the only position known to both Polish databases, and thus the only one where terpene lists can be compared at all. The other three, two from S-LAB and one from Tilray, have only one description and cannot be compared.

The availability recorded for these positions is not a feature of the strain, but a state of stock on the day the database was read. The permit for the raw material has a deadline and can be revoked, batches are released unevenly, and the pharmacy orders what is currently in the wholesaler. Two of the four positions had a recorded shortage at that time. Cannabis flower is a pharmaceutical raw material dispensed by prescription in the Rpw category, so the choice of version is determined by the prescribing doctor, not the comparison of labels. The current state of the assortment is listed in the list of currently available strains.

What does Beach Crasher smell and taste like?

Descriptions of the aroma converge around peppery and earthy notes, with a resinous pine addition for the S-LAB and Tilray positions. For the Synoptis Pharma position, the source mentions citrus and roots instead of pine. None of these descriptions are measurements, just verbal declarations entered into the database.

Comparing profiles from two databases yields eight names: bisabolol, humulen, caryophyllene, limonene, linalool, myrcene, nerolidol, and pinene. However, the sources do not provide the same composition: bisabolol, limonene, and linalool are mentioned by only one of them, while the other organizes the profile by weight and places nerolidol and myrcene in it, which the first does not mention at all for the three positions.

We do not provide numerical shares for these names, as it is unclear what whole they refer to. The sums of values provided by Polish databases for the same positions are 46, 73, and 83 percent, which do not close to one denominator. A number without a denominator looks like a measurement in a text about medicinal raw material, which it is not.

The peppery note is usually associated with caryophyllene, the same compound that gives black pepper its spiciness. The resinous accent is attributed to pinene, and the hoppy base to humulene. Such attributions are a mental shortcut: the aroma of the dried flower is created from dozens of volatile compounds at once, not from one molecule mentioned by the database first. The perception also changes during the portion, as some compounds evaporate earlier than others, and the sensory descriptions from the databases concern the aroma of the raw material after opening the package.

How long does it take for Beach Crasher to take effect and how long does the effect last?

This depends on the route of administration, and the difference is significant. Inhalation has a noticeable onset within the first minutes, peak blood concentration occurs around the tenth minute, and the effects usually wear off between the second and fourth hour. Orally, the onset is delayed to a range of half an hour to an hour and a half, and the effect lasts from six to eight hours.

These numbers describe the route of administration, not this strain. There is no pharmacokinetic study conducted on Beach Crasher, and the evidence base for this project does not contain one. The ranges come from descriptions of THC behavior when administered via inhalation and orally, and should be read as such. The variability can be wide: the same portion will behave differently in a person using the dried flower for the first time than in a patient after months of therapy, and when swallowed, the influence of food also comes into play.

The reason for the difference between routes of administration is anatomical. When inhaled, compounds pass from the lung alveoli directly into circulation, bypassing the liver, so the concentration curve rises steeply and falls just as quickly. When swallowed, everything first goes through the intestinal wall and the liver, where some substances are processed before entering circulation. The effect builds up more slowly but lasts longer. For the patient, this means that one strain provides two different courses over time, rather than a stronger or weaker variant of the same.

What is known and what is not known about the effects of this strain?

Almost nothing is known about the strain itself from studies. Available evidence concerns its dominant terpene and comes from two studies conducted on mice. Everything else circulating about Beach Crasher consists of descriptions from databases and patient reports, which is a different type of material than experimental results.

Study Model and route of administration What was shown
Gertsch J et al., 2008
Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS)
PMID:18574142
mouse (in vivo) and test tube (receptor binding, human cells) (E)-caryophyllene selectively bound to the CB2 receptor (Ki = 155 nM) and inhibited carrageenan-induced paw swelling in wild-type mice, but not in CB2 receptor-deficient mice (Cnr2-/-), indicating a CB2-dependent mechanism; the study did not include any anxiety tests.
Klauke AL et al., 2014
European Neuropsychopharmacology
PMID:24210682
rodent (mouse) Oral caryophyllene reduced the late inflammatory phase of pain in the formalin test in a CB2 receptor-dependent manner, with no effect on the early phase; in a neuropathic pain model, it alleviated thermal hyperalgesia and mechanical allodynia without developing tolerance with chronic administration.

The limits of these results must be stated directly. In neither of the two studies was caryophyllene tested on humans or in inhaled form from dried flower; both studies concern oral or systemic administration in mice in pain and inflammation models, not sleep or mood. Separately, what the databases record about this strain: budcare.pl attributes a possible relaxing effect to it. This is a descriptive declaration, not a measurement result, and none of the above studies support it.

What side effects have been reported from this strain?

There are no such data. No one has published a summary of side effects for Beach Crasher with frequency, and none of the two sources describing this strain maintain such a column. What can be said honestly concerns cannabis flower as a raw material, not this specific label.

Descriptions of the raw material often mention dry mouth, dizziness, drowsiness, and increased heart rate; anxiety is also mentioned with larger portions. However, none of these positions can be attributed a number for Beach Crasher, as reports on the dried flower are not collected in Poland by strain. A collection of symptoms is known, but their frequency under this name is unknown.

The lack of data at the strain level is not an oversight of this page, but a state of affairs. The dried flower does not undergo registration like a finished product with one substance, and safety oversight is conducted for the raw material, not for the trade name. As long as this remains the case, any frequency table signed with the strain name would be a made-up number, and a made-up number in a text about a drug dispensed by prescription does more harm than an empty space. Symptoms are reported to the attending physician or pharmacist, and they decide what to do next.

How to vaporize Beach Crasher?

The dominant terpene alone cannot determine this. Caryophyllene has a boiling point of 257.5 degrees Celsius at atmospheric pressure in the PubChem database, which is above the temperatures at which the dried flower vaporizes at all. However, vaporization occurs long before boiling, so this number is not a threshold for activation.

The same database also shows why popular temperature tables are not comparable. For caryophyllene, it also lists 130 degrees, but measured at 14 mm Hg pressure, which is close to vacuum conditions. Placed in a table next to atmospheric values, such a number ceases to mean what it meant in measurement. Among the eleven terpenes in this project, the public database provides a full record with pressure for only six, which is discussed in a separate text about vaporization of terpenes from dried flower.

For the patient, this results in less than guides promise. The setting on the vaporizer is the temperature of the heating element or air, not the material itself, which is cooled by airflow during inhalation and heats unevenly. The difference between one value and the other exists and has not been publicly measured. The method of administration is determined by the attending physician, and the dried flower is dispensed by prescription, so there is no room for suggesting equipment settings.

Which strains are related to Beach Crasher?

  • Comparisons with this strain. Three comparisons in this cluster place it alongside other positions from the list: Cataract Kush, Frosted Cherry Cookies, Gorilla Glue. The comparison analyzes composition and availability, not determining which strain is for whom.

There is no such strain among those available in pharmacies. No other cultivar from this cluster shares either Wedding Crasher or the TK BX1 line in its lineage, so the kinship graph returns an empty list for Beach Crasher. This emptiness is a result of calculation, not a lack that has not been filled.

Names can suggest kinship that does not exist. In the cluster, Wedding Pie and Wedding Pop Triangle stand, and both have Wedding Cake in their lineage, not Wedding Crasher, so the common component does not connect them to this strain. The reverse works the same way: ten cultivars carry the word kush in their name, and half of them have no established origin at all. Adding siblings by intuition would create false connections in the graph, so it remains empty.

The closeness that can be shown honestly is of another kind. Beach Crasher shares the dominant terpene with Gorilla Glue, and a common profile may be more interesting for the patient than distant genealogy; a separate discussion compares both strains. Similar comparisons have been made with Cataract Kush and with Frosted Cherry Cookies. None of them is a claim of kinship, just a comparison of two positions from the same pharmacy shelf.

Frequently Asked Questions about Beach Crasher

Is Beach Crasher an indica strain or a hybrid?

It depends on the source. The budcare.pl database describes all four recorded positions as a hybrid with indica dominance, while medweed.pl refers to the Synoptis Pharma position as a hybrid without further specification. This inconsistency cannot be resolved from the outside, so we provide both records.

How many producers supply Beach Crasher to Polish pharmacies?

Three: S-LAB, Synoptis Pharma, and Tilray. In the inventory, they correspond to four positions because S-LAB has two versions differing in declared potency.

Which terpene dominates the profile of Beach Crasher?

Caryophyllene. Both pharmacy data and the weight order provided by medweed.pl indicate this. We do not provide numerical shares for the names of terpenes, as the sources do not disclose the denominator.

Are there studies on the effects of Beach Crasher in humans?

There are no such studies. Two works from the evidence base of this project concern caryophyllene administered to mice, not this strain or inhaled administration in humans.

Does Beach Crasher have siblings among strains available in Polish pharmacies?

No. No other cultivar from this comparison shares a parent with it, and the common component of the name, as in Wedding Pie, is not evidence of kinship.

Is Beach Crasher available without a prescription?

No. Cannabis flower is a pharmaceutical raw material dispensed by prescription in the Rpw category, and the choice of strain is determined by the attending physician.
