How to prepare yerba mate?

1. Pour about 15 g of yerba mate into the vessel. If you are concerned about too intense a taste, you can reduce the portion.

2. Cover the opening of the vessel with your hand, turn it upside down, and shake it several times. This way, you will get rid of dust and the smallest pieces of leaves and sticks that could clog the bombilla.

3. Turn the matero upright, then slightly tilt it to create a “hill” of the herb on one side. Place the bombilla where there is the least herb. From this moment, try not to move the bombilla.

4. Pour hot water (at a temperature not exceeding 80°C) over the herb and… enjoy the taste of yerba mate! You can keep adding water until the infusion loses its characteristic taste.
