What is gotu kola and how much is in the package?

Eight grams of dried gotu kola leaf, an Asian plant also known as Asiatic pennywort. The leaf is thin and small, so eight grams takes up quite a bit of space in the box.

Unlike the citrus herbs in this series, gotu kola has a mild, grassy scent without a sharp note in the foreground.
