Does Cistus need to be ground?

No. This is the finest cut raw material of all eight. The cut is ready to be poured and in terms of thickness resembles loose leaf tea rather than herbal material that usually goes through a grinder.

The package weighs 20 grams, the same as fennel and more than the other six herbs in this batch, and the label indicates a low range of 100-150°C. The lid is olive green, with the symbol Cz and the name Cistus. In herbal trade, Cistus incanus and Cistus creticus are sometimes treated as the same plant under two names.

How to use

Safety and storage

The manufacturer packs the entire series in the same jars: a pharmaceutical box with a latch, hermetic even after breaking the seal, lightproof. Each package contains a Boveda packet that maintains humidity at 62%.

The herb is intended for aromatherapy. It is not a food product and does not replace a varied diet.

Store in a closed package, in a dry and dark place, out of reach of children and pets. Moisture clumps the herb and spoils the aroma.

The humidity-regulating packet should remain in the jar. Do not throw it away with the outer packaging and do not open the packet itself.
