Massage gel with bee venom PALACIO - 200 ml tube

Apis Venenum is a warming massage gel in a 200 ml tube, built around three bee-derived and irritating raw materials: extract of bee venom, propolis, and resin from chili pepper, which is a natural source of capsaicin. Accompanying them is methyl salicylate, an ingredient responsible for the characteristic herbal-mint scent of massage products. The manufacturer describes this gel briefly and specifically: massage for strained muscles with warming ingredients. The base consists of water and glycerin thickened with carbomer, while the consistency that holds to the hand is provided by hydroxypropyl guar gum and xanthan gum. It is complemented by sunflower oil, tocopherol acetate, and a set of seven herbal extracts. This is a classic formula for warming gels, where the heat is built by capsaicin supported by methyl salicylate. The tube holds 200 ml, making it sufficient for regular rather than occasional use, and allows you to squeeze out exactly the amount of gel needed for one muscle area.

Ingredients

The INCI list provided by the manufacturer, in descending order of content:

  • Aqua, Glycerin, Carbomer, Hydroxypropyl Guar
  • Propolis Extract, Alcohol, Methyl Salicylate (salicylan metylu)
  • Capsicum Frutescens Resin (chili pepper resin, source of capsaicin)
  • Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (sunflower oil), Glyceryl Oleate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Lysolecithin, Xanthan Gum
  • Bee Venom Extract (ekstrakt z jadu pszczelego), Tocopheryl Acetate (witamina E)
  • Herbal extracts: Betula Alba (birch), Achillea Millefolium (yarrow), Equisetum Arvense (horsetail), Urtica Dioica (nettle), Rosmarinus Officinalis (rosemary), Salvia Officinalis (sage), Tilia Platyphyllos (linden)
  • Preservatives and others: Phenoxyethanol, Triethylene Glycol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, CI 16255, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide

Propolis ranks high here, just behind the water-glycerin base and carbomer, so its presence in the formula is evident in the list itself. The extract of bee venom is much lower down, behind oils and emulsifiers. Following it is tocopherol acetate, which is vitamin E, and the entire list is concluded with preservatives and salts: phenoxyethanol, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, and sodium chloride. Methyl salicylate and chili pepper resin are the pair responsible for the noticeable warmth and the scent. The seven herbal extracts close the list of active ingredients and are classic herbs for Polish and Czech massage cosmetics: birch, yarrow, horsetail, nettle, rosemary, sage, and linden. The dye CI 16255 is solely responsible for the color of the product, and there is no menthol or camphor in this list.

How to use

The manufacturer provides one simple instruction: apply an appropriate amount of gel to the skin in the muscle area and gently massage in. Use as needed. Practice is more important than theory here — capsaicin builds heat gradually, so the first impression after application can be misleading, and it's better to start with a smaller amount.

  • Apply a small amount of gel to the selected muscle area
  • Gently massage until absorbed
  • Use as needed, preferably after physical exertion.
  • Do not apply under an occlusive dressing or on skin heated after a hot bath.
  • After massage, wash your hands thoroughly and avoid touching your eyes.

For whom

This gel is aimed at those who reach for a classic warming massage product after training or a day of physical work and prefer the feeling of warmth over coolness. Chili pepper with methyl salicylate provides a sensation that has been recognized in this category for decades, while propolis and herbal extracts build the caring part of the formula around it. The 200 ml format fits this formula: the cap seals the tube after massage, and with a gel that requires hand washing, less contact with the packaging is an advantage. However, there is a group of people for whom this product is simply not intended, and this is directly related to its composition. The manufacturer advises against using the gel if allergic to bee venom, and the warning also includes allergies to bee products and children under three years of age. If you react to stings, have reactive skin, or are taking medications and are unsure about salicylates, choose a variant without bee ingredients or consult a doctor before use.

Frequently asked questions

Does this gel warm or cool?

It warms. The manufacturer describes it as a massage gel with warming ingredients, which are chili pepper resin, a natural source of capsaicin, and methyl salicylate. The sensation is exclusively towards warmth and builds gradually, unlike the cooling gels from the same line.

Gdzie w wykazie INCI stoi jad pszczeli?

Bee Venom Extract is listed in the second half of the ingredient list, after sunflower oil and emulsifiers, just before tocopherol acetate. The INCI list organizes the ingredients in descending order, so this one position speaks more about proportions than the name on the tube. Higher up, just after the water-glycerin base and carbomer, is propolis - of the two bee ingredients in this formula, it has a larger share.

Who should not use this gel?

The manufacturer advises against it for people with an allergy to bee venom; the warning also includes allergies to bee products and children under three years of age. Do not apply the gel to irritated, damaged skin or open wounds. If you have reactive skin, do a patch test on your forearm first and wait several hours before full application.

How to store the tube after opening?

At room temperature, away from heaters and direct sunlight, with the cap tightly closed. The tube is more convenient than a bottle because the air has less contact with the contents, but it is still advisable to close it immediately after use to prevent the gel from thickening at the outlet.

Variants and category

If you prefer a cooling sensation after training rather than warmth, the same line has a cooling gel Cannacool in a tube. For larger needs (the whole family, regular massages, clinics), there is a hemp gel with horse chestnut in a large bottle, and if you are looking for something more targeted instead of a rubbing gel, check out how to use a roll-on for muscle and joint pain. You can find other items in the category Gels.

Safety and storage

The gel is intended for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes, and if the product gets into your eye, rinse it thoroughly with clean water. Do not apply it to irritated, damaged skin or open wounds. Before the first use, do a patch test on a small area of your forearm and wait - the formula contains plant ingredients and a fragrance composition, and each of them may cause a skin reaction in some individuals. Discontinue use if redness or burning persists after washing off. After massage, wash your hands. Store the tube tightly closed, at room temperature, away from heat sources and direct sunlight, out of reach of children.

The gel is an external cosmetic - it is not a medicine or a supplement and does not replace any element of the diet or medical advice.
