How to prepare yerba mate?

1. Pour about 15g of yerba mate into a container. If you're concerned about the flavor being too intense, you can reduce the portion.

2. Cover the opening of the container with your hand, turn it upside down, and shake it a few times. This will remove any dust and any tiny bits of leaves or sticks that could clog the bombilla.

3. Turn the matero upright, then tilt it slightly to create a mound of dried herbs on one side. Place the bombilla where there is the least amount of herbs. From this point on, try not to move the bombilla.

4. Pour hot water (no higher than 80°C) over the dried herbs and… enjoy the taste of yerba mate! You can add water until the infusion loses its characteristic flavor.
